Uses Animax Ointment is a topical ointment containing nystatin, neomycin sulfate, thiostrepton and triamcinolone acetonide as the active ingredients. This medication treats bacterial and fungal infections of the skin in dogs and cats. Animax decreases the inflammation and itching of the skin. Cautions Animax Ointment should not be applied to the eyes. Keep out of reach of children. How to use For topical use in dogs and cats only. The external ear should be thoroughly cleaned and dried before treatment. Apply this medication on your pet as directed by the veterinarian and follow the instructions on manufacturer’s packaging. Possible side effects Polydipsia, polyuria, vomiting, weakness, lethargy are some of the possible side effects. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your veterinarian promptly. Missed dose If you miss applying a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not apply twice.
